OTO Group offers a mentorship program for anyone looking for to learn more about our style of practice. Successful applicants will be mentored by a member of staff and guided through our way of thinking on a design research project in our competitions team. The competitions team is involved in a range of projects from housing to cultural spaces. Our current stream of research that you may be involved with are: -'Un-finished cities- an exploration of the urban fraying of Auckland' -mixed use community spaces and surf lifesaving club proposal -modular living spaces and MIQ We are looking for people who are able to question their environment and are excited to challenge designs with critical thinking and embodiment. Our mentorship is framed around continuing education and teaching valuable skills for any architectural practice. This will involve site analysis, sketching techniques, model making, BIM through the entire design process and design presentation techniques including diagrams, videos and book making. Emphasis is on passion and inspiration not technical know-how, we can teach you the skills but we can't teach you how to feel. Don't feel you've got much or any experience?
