OTO Group Architecture is a residential design practice led by Nicholas Dunning. We work directly with clients on new builds, renovations and commercial projects, bringing a hands-on, craft-focused approach to every project. Want to know more about our philosophy and how we work? Read our story.

We work all over New Zealand

Our hubs are in Mangawhai, Auckland, Napier, Wellington, Nelson, Christchurch, Wanaka and Queenstown, but we take on projects anywhere in Aotearoa. If you're building somewhere we haven't been yet, even better.

Nicholas Dunning

Director & Principal Designer

Nicholas trained at the Aarhus School of Architecture in Denmark and worked across Scandinavia before returning to New Zealand. His time in Denmark instilled a deep appreciation for craft, honest materials, and the quality of light in built spaces.

Every OTO project is led directly by Nicholas, from the first conversation through to completion.
